Kirkham & Wesham Amateur Swimming Club is a community club that offers regular training sessions for all ages and abilities. The club is based in Kirkham, Lancashire located between Preston and Blackpool. The club has swimmers of all ages and we provide swim coaching, skill and fitness development and competition.
The club competes every season in the local micro league which enables young swimmers aged 9-12 to get a feel for competitive swimming in a friendly environment. The club also supports some chosen local galas and provides some poolside coaching support for swimmers wishing to attend and compete in these events.
The club has recently resumed swim sessions following closure due to COVID & due to the ongoing roof repairs at Kirkham the club is currently operating from St. Anne's pool.
At this time swimmers should arrive at the pool in good time and ready to swim via the changing rooms, at the conclusion of their session swimmers should collect their belongings and leave via the viewing area, this is with the intention of keeping swimmers from different sessions apart.
Unfortunately parents will not be allowed to remain poolside during their swimmers session at this time.
It is hoped we will be able to return to normal this year and run club championships later in the year followed by our awards presentation in March 2023 and a micro-league team competing in the 2023 season.

The squad for the forthcoming micro-league season will be released in due course. Please note that swimmers are selected by the head coach and selection is usually based on time trial results.
